When is a bullet train NOT a bullet train?
An article came across my desk about a traveller ticketing off a bucket list entry: The bullet train in Japan
What struck me is that the train got to 280 kilometres per hour and I remembered that the express train from Milan to Naples in ital has a speed readout that mesmerised me as it ticked over from 299 to 300 km/h but somehow it didn't seem that we were ticking off a bucket list event. And I am sure not many others were sitting in awe.
Mmmm maybe I will be nonplussed when I do get to ride that Japanese bullet train.
